Heather McAllister is the Founder of The Flagship Group, Inc, a sophisticated and multi-faceted firm committed to serving individuals, corporations, law and professional services firms and organizations in the areas of consulting/advisory, mediation/conflict resolution, facilitation, and professional development/training s
ervices.  Heather’s over ten years experience as an attorney, counselor, coach and mentor gives her an excellent understanding of the principles and footing individuals, businesses and organizations must implement for success in today’s environment.  Her experience, knowledge, and powerful affiliations give added value to clients in today's business world.  At The Flagship Group, Heather understands that every individual, corporation, firm and organization is unique and success is achieved by having a strong plan and implementing that plan. 

Heather began her career as a litigation attorney at Howrey, LLP before joining the litigation practice at Dewey & LeBoeuf, LLP.  She practiced in the areas of securities, employment, intellectual property, white collar, business, antitrust, insurance and complex commercial matters for domestic and international clients.  Heather successfully counseled and defended clients, litigated cases, negotiated settlements, worked on all aspects of discovery, led investigations, moved ideas to fruition, served as a mentor and coach, initiated and ran symposiums and other educational seminars and training, served as an adjunct professor and facilitator, worked on firm hiring and recruitment efforts, and actively built very strong business relationships that she has carried over to The Flagship Group, Inc.  She is also a certified mediator and an arbitrator.  Heather has experience in mediating workplace, business, personal and professional disputes and is a registered arbitrator with the National Futures Association.   Her extensive litigation experience and ability to defuse the emotional issues that often underlie the conflict make her a successful mediator.  She has co-chaired the career services committee of a national board of directors and has advised seasoned professionals, law and graduate schools and their students on career strategies, including networking, writing and advanced interviewing techniques.  She has completed judicial internships with the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the District Court of the Western District of Pennsylvania.  She has also authored and co-authored numerous articles and presentations.  Heather’s unique background of law, mediation, psychology, business and science enables her to give clients the sound advice and judgment they need to thrive.

Heather received her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and B.A. from Gannon University
.  She is a member of the New York and District of Columbia bars, the American Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, various law firm management practice organizations, professional mediation and alternative legal dispute associations in the New York and District of Columbia bars, DC LERA (Labor and Employment Relations Association), Mediators Without Boarders, the Association for Conflict Resolution, the Council of Court Excellence, and the Womens' Leadership Forum.  She may be reached at
